33rd International Book Fair in Santiago #FILSA2013

Yesterday was the inauguration of the 33rd International Book Fair in Santiago. Today, the fair is officially open to the public for all of you avid readers, and this year the reader is the guest of honor! Aside from displaying and launching books, comics, magazines and such, there will also be theatrical performances, public forums, signings, photography and even soccer - more than 600 activities to choose from!

When: Friday, October 25th – Sunday, November 10th 

Monday - Thursday: 2:00pm - 10:00pm

Friday: 12:00pm - 10:00pm

Weekends and Holidays: 11:00am – 10:00pm 

Where: El Centro Cultural Estación Mapocho, outside of the metro station Puente Cal y Canto (Line 2)

Admission: You can pay for your entry at the door.

Monday – Thursday, except holidays: $ 1.500

Friday – Sunday and Holidays: $ 2.500

Discounts:

Club de Lectores de El Mercurio 20% Discount

Children under the age of 12, accompanied by an adult, have free admission.

Students:

Monday – Thursday, except holidays: $ 500

Friday – Sunday and Holidays: $ 1.500

Promos:

Mondays: 2×1

Tuesdays: 65 years and better, free admission (with ID)

Wednesdays: Ladies, free admission

Free Book Exchange at the GAM

La Biblioteca Libre is a collective library supported by hundreds of individuals who donate books - sharing them so that they don't sit on your shelves collecting dust.

This is the 10th Liberación de Libros where more than 1,200 books will be up for exchange.

How does it work? For every book you donate, you can take 2 (with a maximum of 5). 

There will also be story tellers, a bit of theater, and a circus organized by GAM. 

When: Saturday, September 7, 2013; 11am-7pm
